12/23/2009

Members of the Friends of Camp Geiger were recently presented with a citation by the Capitol Preservation Committee (CPC) in recognition of the group’s contributions toward the preservation of Pennsylvania Civil War flags. Rep. Julie Harhart hosted a tour of the flag preservation facility in October for The Friends of Camp Geiger, which is the subject of Harhart’s January Legislative Report.

Rep. Julie Harhart’s (R-Lehigh/Northampton) January Legislative Report focuses on a check presentation made by the Friends of Camp Geiger and the Capitol Preservation Committee’s efforts to preserve numerous Civil War flags and memorabilia.

Included in the program is a tour of the flag preservation facility in Harrisburg by Jason Wilson, research historian for the Capitol Preservation Committee.
